You Have Not Because You Ask Not

Dear Sisters,
Over and over I hear the verse "You have not, because you ask not. Ask that your joy may be full!" And so I ask, in His will, in His Name, for His Glory. Have you ever asked Him...
That you might know Him as He truly is and not as you perceive Him to be.
That you might love Him with all your heart, all your mind, all your strength, and all your soul.
That you might see others as He sees them.
That you might see yourself in His eyes.
That you might love others as He loves them.
That you might think on Him every hour, even in your sleep.
That He might remind you of what is truly important and what you mustn't forget.
That He might orchestrate your moments into hours into weeks into months into years into a life spent for His Glory.
That He might let nothing happen to you or those you love that is not in His Perfect Will.
That He might replace your fear with faith, your guilt with grace, and your claim with Christ.
That He might consume your spirit in His Spirit.
That your prayers will rise as a sweet incense to His Throne continually from your temple.
That His angels will surround your home, your children, your vehicles, and you and your husband.
That you might feel His joy in all the work you do and that every single bit of it will count for His Glory.
That When you die you will see Him standing with His Arms outstretched ready to gather you into Heaven.
That your home would be the kind of place He would long to go to and rest with His disciples were He walking the earth today as the Son of Man and that at His Feet you would listen.
That He would interrupt you today and you would welcome every one of His interruptions.
That you would praise Him and thank Him, even for those who are unaware of what He is doing as they walk His Earth.
That you would have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart that knows Him and beats after Him.
That you would be forgotten and He would be remembered when you affect people for Him.
That your heart would hunger for His Righteousness causing you to cling, cling, cling to Him.
That He would bless your hands with the skill He desires you to have and that your feet would run to do it for Him.
That He would show you the gifts He has given you and that you will get stronger and stronger in them for the praise and glory of His Name.
That He would help you serve on the earth in such a way that you might reign with Him in Heaven.
That you wash His Feet with your life on this earth.
That He wash away the dry and broken years using them for His good and glory.
That you see Him everywhere you go and feel His Presence constantly.
That He might be your full Reward.
That your temple be filled with music rising up to His Throne of Grace continually.
That He be a wife through you; a mother through you; a daughter and daughter-in-law through you; a homemaker through you; and a friend through you.
That He remind you what and whom to pray for. And that you pray without ceasing.
That you walk at His Pace, doing His Priorities, wrapped in His Peace, by His Power.
That you say "yes" to the things you should say "yes" to, and "no " to the things you should say "no" to; and the wisdom to know the difference.
That you might lean against His Breast daily and breath Him in.
That His Word might replace your words, and that your words might be built on His Word.
That you might not talk to anyone without praying as you talk.
That you might know the questions and whom to ask when you need wisdom in certain areas of your life.
That He might give you encouragement just when you need it.
That His Cross might be the forerunner of your mind.
That He might let you know the height, the depth, and the width of His Love.
That your life might be a sweet fragrance rising up to His Throne of Grace.
That you might call on His Name continually.
That He might keep your mind focused on Him so that you might be kept in His perfect peace.
That every single thing you have and do might be used for His Glory.
That even when something unfavorable happens you will know His Presence and His Love and that this is His Will resulting in His Peace and Strength.
That He will carry you and lead you as you are with young.
That He will not let you see or hear anything that He doesn't want you to.
That He will cause you to pray for the BIGGEST things imaginable with all faith because HE IS GOD.
That He will meet you every morning and draw you so close to Him that after you hear His Word, you can better work with the words from others.
That your heart be an orchestration for Him.
That He surprise you with all His delightful surprises.
That He make you one of His "spoilt bairns" as Oswald Chambers puts it, even if you are deathly ill, without any money, and without any human companion. Then and only then can you sing in prison after being beaten like Paul did.
That He use you in spite of yourself.
That He come back quickly and you'll be ready with your white wedding dress.
That you might be His Slave, His Daughter, His Servant, His Friend, His Elbow nudging women to His Throne, and His Bride.
That you might be ready at all times for what He wants you to do.
That you might be hospitable to those He desires you to be hospitable to and that you might be ready for them in spirit and in food and in your home.
That you might give to those He has you give to; that you might tithe with a joyful and prayerful heart; that you might be completely out of debt and on the plus side ready to share; and that He might give you wisdom in using His money for His glory.
That He might pour out His Wisdom on you in every area of your life, especially in the reading of His Word.
That you hear His Voice in your ear and obey it.
That you might walk this earth as He intended for a woman of God to walk this earth; in close intimacy with Him.
That your marriage might be as He intended marriage to be.
That your parenting and relationship with your children might be as He intended a family to be.
That He might bring Godly wives and husbands to your children and protection for them as they grow up.
That He might bring all the grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren (should He linger in returning) and their spouses to His Name and for His Glory.
That He might honor my parents through me even when I don't feel like it.
That I would never cause Him pain or disappointment; that He would show me if I am doing something wrong and help me to change it quickly.
That He will keep me standing while I walk this earth right into His Arms as I do not trust myself, but trust only Him.
That He would allow no evil person, place, thing, or spirit within one foot of us.
That my reputation and what people think of me would lie at the foot of His Throne.
That I would not think of anyone or anything above Him.
That I would know what to cook and how to orchestrate my home for the family He has given me or for the guests He has sent my way.
That His perfect timing be in everything in your life.
That He keep teaching me, teaching me, teaching me!
That He might simplify my life according to His Will.
That He might have me speak of my husband and work with him in a manner that crowns him.
That He might help others forget the things I shouldn't have said.
That He might remove from my mind the negative from the past and replace it with His Light.
That He might have me hold on to the good of my childhood and repeat it with my kids and let go of the bad in forgiveness.
That He might have me be quick to forgive; quick to remember Him; and quick to remember that I could easily do the same thing if I am not clinging.
That He might cover me, hold me, and carry me in His Almighty Hands and that I might never, no never, be separated from Him!
Much love,
Laine
